Metrics, schmetrics: an easy primer to help figure out where your web traffic is coming from and what it all means

My buddy Martin came across this interesting read from Entrepreneur Magazine today, and I thought it was worth sharing.

You know, it's funny.

In 2007 we started to hear the term social media and seemingly on a day-by-day basis came to know the players, why they were important and the potential impact it could all have on our businesses.

Fast forward to 2011, and now everyone realizes that you can actually get a better read on web visitation and consumer behavior, once you have the right analytics and reporting systems in place.
