The new Chrome Google web browser grows up overnight and becomes its own new operating system, Chrome OS

Lately it seems that every morning as I'm checking my emails and news alerts that within 10 minutes I say "Wow!" as the morning coffee trickles out of my mouth.

In case you haven't heard Google's latest news, check out this video. It's just 3 minutes.

Google is coming out with a new operating system based on its new web browser Chrome, which will be installed on "certain" netbooks in 2010.

Boot up time? Just 7 seconds. Just like that fancy new TV you bought recently.

Oh. And the new Chrome OS netbook hard drive...well, it really won't be there.

The device features an interesting combination of Internet-based storage (remember those new online Google apps that mimic the Microsoft Office Suite?) and flash memory.

For the full story, check out this link to Wired, and the news from Dylan F. Tweney.

It's going to be interesting to see how this impacts Apple's release of its new tablet next year.

Fun stuff.
