The magazine paradigm shift to iPhone has started

Hoping to do for magazine "newsstand" sales what it did for music, Conde Nast will launch a $2.99 iPhone app containing the December 2009 issue of GQ -- Gentleman's Quarterly.

The magazine choice is smart, as the reader profile skews to younger male affluents, who are more likely to already have the iPhone, being early adapters.
