Google Voice transcribed voicemail via email is brilliant

Google Voice's ability to turn a voicemail message into an email text message is one of my favorite features of this new technology.

Say you're in a meeting where cell phones are not allowed, but you are waiting for an urgent call back from a family member or business associate.

With Google Voice, you can have your iPhone turned on with the ringer turned off, and your email app opened. Then, as soon as that voicemail is left, the message will appear on your screen in text form -- with no one the wiser.

You can then either text the caller back with your reply, or excuse yourself from the meeting to return the call.
