NCR keeps it real, fresh and relevant...and that's smart business
Back in 1884 NCR (the National Cash Register Company) made the first mechanical cash register. In 1953 it established its Electronics Division, to remain visionary. In 1974, they commercialized the first bar code scanners. So what are they up to now? Developing an iPhone app so consumers take take a digital photo of a check and have it deposited...automatically. With so many companies...large and small...struggling to figure out how to remain strong and viable in today's marketplace, we could all learn something from NCR. Reinventing your core market consumables is not only smart, it's mandatory if you want to stay in the game.
